Migration Update: ROOSTING Report❣️
a LATE Comeback for Monarchs in Unseasonably Warm Weather?
Greetings Monarch Raiser,
it’s Friday the 13th🔪 and our cold Minnesota Fall has yet to scare off the monarchs! In fact, today it’s going to be an August-worthy 85°F…
I saw 6 monarchs stocking up on nectar yesterday, which is the most I’ve seen (at one time) in the garden this season. I’ve heard reports of more butterflies north of us too, which means a larger group of migrators could still flutter through.
I’m still concerned (based on reporting) numbers will be low this season, but if unseasonably warm weather continues, an extra generation could still have time to reach their migration destination this fall.🤞
Check out this large group of migrators that came through our old garden in fall of 2022 feasting on:

It's now mid-September and many of you are still raising your migration generation butterflies…including 3 chrysalides outside on our deck!
